The mission of the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation is to enrich and enhance the quality of education in the Thornapple Kellogg School District and to contribute to the evolving needs of our community.
The Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation (TAEF) was established in 1992 with a $32,000.00 gift from Fern Poland Trouyout. As a former Middleville resident, Mrs. Trouyout wanted to support the Thornapple Kellogg School system, and thus the Foundation was formed with the first scholarship fund. Over two decades later, TAEF has grown to more than 32 funds and over $1,000,000.00. The Board of the Foundation, along with community members and private donors, awards over $50,000 per year to TK Students and graduates.
In partnership with the Barry Community Foundation, TAEF now offers their scholarship applications online. This new tool allows students to apply for multiple scholarships by completing one application.
